If you’re looking for a conventional résumé, you’re in the wrong place — but possibly in the right spirit.

This site exists to explain who I am, what I’ve done, what I’m doing now, and why none of that fits neatly into a single job title. It is part autobiography, part inventory, part quiet confession, and occasionally a warning.

I have held many roles in my life — some official, some accidental, and a few self-appointed. I’ve been a writer, a speaker, a pseudo-psychologist, a gardener, a labourer, a husband, a patient, a committee member, a skeptic, and at least once, a man holding a shovel wondering how things took such an interesting turn.

The Q.B.E. (ret) is not official.
It is honorary, imaginary, and fully deserved.

What This Site Is (and Isn’t)

This is not a brand.
It is not a funnel.
It is not a heroic timeline of achievements rendered in LinkedIn blue.

It is a place to:

• Explain my background without pretending it was all part of a master plan

• Document current projects before I forget why I started them

• Tell the truth with a sense of humour and a reasonable regard for the reader

• Separate confidence from certainty (they are often confused)

If something here makes you nod, smile, or feel slightly less alone, then it’s doing its job.
